Walking With in North Tyneside was established in 1999 and is the first port of call in North Tyneside for asylum seekers and refugees who have been dispersed by the Home Office.

We provide a service which is unique to North Tyneside; our aim is to help those who come to us to feel less isolated, more confident, more able to adjust to a new life in the UK.

We provide a welcoming safe environment for all who attends our centre, we welcome, befriend, support, and empower, by providing education and resources to all who use our services.

Walking With has supported asylum seekers and refugees for over 23 years, delivered essentially through a team of dedicated volunteers who provide practical and moral support services on a daily basis.
