Friends of Walking With is a growing community of people who care about welcoming and supporting refugees and asylum seekers in our area. Together, we share time, skills, and friendship to make a difference in the lives of those rebuilding their futures. Whether you give time, donate, or simply spread the word, you become part of a compassionate network walking alongside others with hope and solidarity.

We are lucky to have generous supporters who donate food, clothing and household goods.
Over the past year we have seen an increase in support needed and have struggled to meet the demand. As a result we need to purchase extra food and resources to meet the demand.
Food bags required to support our service users equate to ~£30,000 each year.
To continue with our support, we need donations to enable us to keep providing food and support.
We thank you for all donations, with your support we can continue to help those in need.
Don’t forget to check the ‘Gift aid’ Box for an extra 25% added to your donation – as a UK Tax payer.
How it works
For the donor: You donate your money to a charity as usual. The charity can then claim an additional 25% back from the government, making your £1 donation worth £1.25 to them. You don’t pay any extra money.
For the charity: The charity receives your original donation plus the extra 25% in tax relief from the government, increasing the value of the donation without any extra cost to you.
For the tax reclaim: The charity must have a Gift Aid declaration from you, and you must have paid enough UK tax on your income or capital gains in the same tax year to cover the amount the charity reclaims.
